Calm Before The Storm

You know that moment where everything feels
happy hunky dory, and then at the snap of a finger it all blows
up in your face.
It's amazing how things can become so FUBAR so fast.
It's like blinking.
One moment everything is beautiful, you close your eyes, open them back up and the it looks like hell on earth.
And that really sucks.
So many things happen all at once.

The human race is far from perfect.
We judge people left and right and don't realize how it can effect them if they find out. I've found myself in a few of the moments
recently and it hurts.
Not the stinging, tingly hurt, the dragging a knife through your
skin and scarring kind of hurt.
If there is one thing I am learning from these experiences it is NOT to judge. I've done my fair share,
and now it is time to stop.
In conclusion,
Don't judge me, I'm not perfect and I know it,
and I will do my best not to judge you and proceed to break your face...

Karma

Certain things of a superstitious nature are hard to believe,
save for one:
Karma.
And she is a bitch.
What goes around comes around, right?
I can't help but always wonder when karma might slap in the face
for when I had done something wrong in the past.
It's kind of scary thing if your really sit down and think about it.
She moves in mysterious ways,
get on your knees boy.
You never know when it boomerang of life will come back to you,
whether it will be good or bad and when it will happen.
It's rather mind boggling if you ask me.
We need more Hank Moody's in this world.

The Comfort of Safety

It's been a while, I have other things to take care.
Nothing beats the feeling of being safe,
but sometimes that feeling goes away.
What should one do when not feeling safe?
Especially when it's in your own home...
Can you even call it home when you don't feel that it is safe?
This is a problem I have been facing on occasion.

I have seen some messed up things,
I've watched some of my closest friends succumb to the temptations
of drugs and all the problems it causes.
I never thought I would see it out front of my door.

V

Remember, remember, the fifth of November
The gun powder, treason and plot
For I know no reason why this treason should ever be FORGOT.

My first blog/Thanksgiving vs. Christmas

Hola
Yes I just spoke in spanish on blog, sue me. Anywho I'm new to this blog thing so
apologies to those of you who are expecting some amazing writing from me.
Well here it goes...
A Fat Turkey VS. Jolly ol' St. Nick
Since we are approaching the holiday season I thought I would share my thoughts
on a topic that has bothered me since the beginning of time.
Why is it that immediately after Halloween it changes to Christmas time?
Is this just some Americanized way of living now days?
I work in a grocery store, so no surprise that I would see this sort of thing a lot,
yesterday while I was at work a customer had complained about
all the Christmas candy and decorations being put up already (finally someone else gets it) and management couldn't only respond with,
"This is a RETAIL store, Thanksgiving is not marketable."
Notice the emphasis on the retail part, is this what things are coming to?
The retail industry controlling which holidays should be at the forefront while the rest just diminish and become tossed aside.
Sure, it's Christmas, I happen to love Christmas, tis a wonderful holiday,
but I would like to not be sick of the whole christmasy spirit thing before December even gets here.
So there you have it, there's my thoughts for the day.
Stay frosty.
